The 2.0T Genesis coupe suffers from a cylinder imbalance issue that causes cylinders 1 and 4 to run much leaner than cylinder 2 and 3. Eventually this leads to engine failure, especially when upgrading parts and tuning.
The #2 and #3 runners on the intake manifold flow less than the #1 and #4 runners which causes the ECU to lean out the air-fuel-mixture to meet the target lambda, but this has a negative consequence of causing cylinders 1 and 4 to run much leaner than they should.
We fix this by porting the #2 and #3 runners on the intake manifold to allow for more airflow. This fixes the cylinder imbalance.
This also works on BK2, the intake manifolds are the same except BK2 is plastic. This BK1 manifold will fit on the BK2.
